The Interceptor by Pedego looks very much like a traditional cruiser bicycle. It has classic appeal with modern benefits. It also comes with a sturdy aluminum frame and can go up to 20 miles per hour.

The Interceptor is a little on the heavy side however. The frame itself weighs up to 51 pounds depending on the version you choose, and the heavy-duty battery adds another 9 pounds to the mix. It may not be easy lugging around a 60-pound bike. Though it’s beautiful and well made, it doesn’t fold and can’t be carried indoors as easily as the Genesis models. It also comes with a pretty steep price tag of up to $3,690.

The Results

Pedego has well designed, classically styled bicycles. They are reminiscent of beach cruisers, but with a modern twist. They are beautiful and finely made. However, they are very heavy and not intended to be easily carried.

The Genesis bikes are lightweight, compact and foldable. They also have fast charge times, long ranges and powerful motors at a fraction of the price. If you are a commuter that prefers to keep your electric bike by your side without worry or hassle, then the Genesis electric bicycles is your best option.
